Hiring Two-Year Fixed-Length Lecturer for Fall 2021

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Maine seeks to fill a fixed-length, two-year, non-tenure track, academic-year appointment as Lecturer, anticipated to start August 30, 2021. This position is not renewable.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Undergraduate teaching in departmental lower- and upper-division courses; may include upper-division laboratory courses and coordination of student assistants in lower-division laboratory and/or recitation sections.
- Collaborative work with others involved in delivering multi-section introductory courses.
- Some mentoring of teaching assistants as laboratory and/or recitation coordinator.
- Service to the department is expected.
The search timeline is as follows:
