Lad co-PI on $2.5M Dept. of Energy Grant
Professor Bob Lad is a co-PI with Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology colleague Mauricio Pereira da Cunha (electrical and computer engineering) on a $2.5 million grant from the Department of Energy to improve sensor technologies in coal-based power plants. Lad and colleagues are building on their research on wireless, surface acoustic wave “harsh-environment” sensors, particularly sensors that can operate at very high temperatures.
