Physics Colloquium - Fall 2006 - "What else can you do with a Ph.D. in the sciences?"

Dept of Physics & Astronomy
University of Maine, Orono, Maine

Presents

Text Box:

Glen Landry
Research Analyst
The CNA Corporation

"What else can you do with a Ph.D. in the sciences?"

So you have a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or another scientific discipline, and are wondering what career path you should choose. Academia, industry, and research laboratories are the primary goal for many students. I would like to tell you about my experience in a different type of work, performing analytical research for a

non-profit company. I will talk about the CNA Corporation and give some examples of the work I have done for the United States Navy and other government agencies.
