Critical Theories of Topological Loop Models

Many models within statistical physics may be written in terms of collections of loops.   We will discuss the classification of these loop gas models via conformal field theory, focusing on the differences between theories with topological observables and those without.  We will see that the operator content of the theory segregates into distinct boundary and bulk sectors, with restrictions enforced by the appearance of logarithmic operators in the extended theory.
